LOL (Japanese title: Archime DS) is the magical creation of a tight-knit group of five talented

game programmers and designers, working originally for no pay on their own free time, but

somehow passionately driven by the desire to fulfill their vision of a never-before fun DS

game idea. The game kicked off as a personal group project, with a vision but no budget,

but when they realized they had created something very, very special, SKIP, Ltd. stepped

in and published the title in Japan in 2007.

SKIP, located in Harajuku, Tokyo, has three development offices, and has worked on

numerous game projects, including first-party Nintendo exclusive hits such as

the "Chibi Robo" franchise, and "bit Generations".

If you'd like to learn more about how LOL was made, there's a great interview with

its creators here.
